Karaoke player is a revolution that changed the face of amateur singing. Karaoke singing facilitates an individual in singing the song of his/her choice where the original playback singing is missing. This ensures the effect of live orchestra where one can sing freely. The first karaoke player was manufactured in Japan in the 1970s. It was a popular form of musical entertainment that was a huge hit in restaurants and other social gatherings. The initial karaoke player was KTV that provided both audio and visual facility for the singer. Also, some type of advanced karaoke players are used in concert of popular singers or with many kind of music performances. However, with the change in time and technology, karaoke players developed into a facility in high end home theatre and music systems where one can use cassette/CD/DVD and play it on karaoke mode where the vocals of the original song are mute and the background music keeps on playing regularly.
As a pass time activity, karaoke is a good way of honing one’s musical skills. However, given the success of karaoke technology, karaoke was also introduced as video game that became a huge hit in masses.
Games such as Karaoke Revolution volume 1, 2 and 3 along with karaoke Revolution Party Edition became successful games. Even at homes, karaoke is played enthusiastically with family gatherings where everyone takes a chance of singing his/her favorite song. Karaoke function is also available on the mobile phones that use JAVA MIDlet technology. There are some popular websites that provide online karaoke services. You may find these websites by searching on search engines or they may be some reviews of good karaoke players on the music and karaoke related forums. If you are planning to buy a karaoke player, go for a hi-fi music system with inbuilt karaoke.
